TO OUR ESTEEMED CUSTOMERS

The demand for ferry services at our Likoni crossing continues to witness tremendous growth particularly so for the passenger traffic now estimated at over 62 million per year. Vehicular traffic is now reaching 1.2 million annually. Obviously this continues to pause a challenge to us as operators particularly given that the vessels in use continue to age amidst strenuous daily usage.

We nonetheless are proud to inform all our users that a lot is being put in place to ensure that we do not loose sight of our overall corporate goal of providing a safe, efficient and reliable ferry service at all times.

We have for instance streamlined our maintenance services, stretching them to night times to enable us treble our day time frequency of departures from either end by availing a four ferry operation during peak time and three ferry operation at off peak. This has greatly minimised delays previously experienced.

We also have improved on the ferry approach infrastructure on either end. At the island side the congestion by matatus previously experienced at the entry roundabout have now been eliminated by widening the road lanes to accommodate and channelize vehicular flow. On the mainland side the opening of the ultra modern public service vehicle terminus has revolutionised the way in which traffic into and out of the ferry will flow.
