• Purchase of four ferries in 1990 at a cost of Kshs. 378 million
• Review of MOU between the government and Kenya Ferry Services Ltd. from initial 60:40 to 65.35 in 2002.

• Successfully boosted passenger carrying capacity of MVs Kilindini and Harambee from 800 to 1440 passengers by converting the two ferries  from single to double deck.

• Acquired fully fledged maintenance facility and office at Peleleza.

• Acquired land for improvement of infrastructure facilities at Likoni.
